Message from Jen Hatmaker:
Dear Ladies of First Baptist Tuscaloosa:
It is with a humble and shaky heart that I come to you today, explaining the decisions my family has made together which will regrettably affect you. I will not be able to speak at the Women's Conference scheduled at your church for January 16-17, 2015.
In January of this year, we hit something of a crisis and realized that although my presence was appreciated in all the communities where I was speaking, it was sorely missing in mine, specifically my own family. I have put my family in jeopardy with my grueling travel schedule, so humbly, regrettably I ask your graciousness as we attempt to radically alter my travel schedule.
I completely understand this is disappointing and maddening, and that my decision deeply affects your church. I could not possibly be sorrier. The only thing I am left with is begging for your grace. - Your sister, Jen Hatmaker*
In light of this news the women's ministry leadership team has decided to cancel the conference scheduled for January 16-17, 2015. They will present their alternate plans for several exciting women's ministry events very soon. Questions? Please contact Beth Yates at email@example.com.
